10 months old

Ariana turned ten months old on Saturday. She's started doing so many new things this month. She eats meats regularly now. Her favorite seems to be chicken despite her obvious dislike the first time she tried it (not a texture she was expecting). Today she was even eating pieces of chicken rather than the baby food version.

Just last month she started standing up on furniture and last week began standing on her own for the very first time. Now she can easily stand for over a minute and came really close yesterday to taking her first step (she shifted her foot forward a little but that was it). On Friday she stood up to her bulldozer and zoomed across the room, walking as if she's been doing it forever.

She is also starting to take more interest in her books and helps to turn the pages when I read them to her. Her favorite book right now is "The Ten Little Ladybugs" with the ladybugs that pop off the pages - she tries to pick them off the book.

This weekend we hung out with Grandma and Grandpa J. On Saturday we headed into Sheboygan to run some errands while Ari played at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Ari had a lot of fun playing with the Jack-in-the-Box with Grandma and it seems a little too much fun playing with the bag she has in her lap!

On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa came over to our house to help with our home improvement efforts. The boys worked on installing the ceiling in the basement and Grandma watched Ari while I got my master bathroom repainted. It feels good to get things done. The more we get done the closer we get to being able to move closer to Sheboygan!
